Brief Profile
The story behind the songs
Roots in the Ruhr area
Rudi's path to music was never "straight ahead".
Growing up in the Ruhr area, shaped by a not always easy family situation and early health hurdles, music developed early on into an inner counterpoint – first as an enthusiasm, then as a language.
He started playing guitar at 14, and wrote his first songs at 17.
Stage experience & training
In his early twenties, he gained stage experience as frontman and songwriter of the metalcore band "Men on the Run" – including winning a contest and playing many live shows in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Later, he received his singer-songwriter diploma from Deutsche Pop in Cologne.
The turning point
A chronic illness and recurring procedures changed many things – including perspective.
This phase led to the clear decision to no longer pursue songwriting as a "side activity," but to make it a serious profession.
The songs became more precise, more honest, more direct – and to this day remain the place where pain, reality and hope come together.
